If you want to know about the husbandry you could visit the caresheet sections and read all about it

Re: please does any body have a red tail boa

I have an RTB. She is about five and half feet long, and weighs about ten pounds. I keep her in a HUGE plastic tub (you can find them at Reptiletubs.com... or Wal-mart sells them during the holiday season).

One thing: my boa is not normal. She is small for her age and will always be small. Normal female boas can get up to eight feet long (sometimes longer) and they require a bigger cage than what I have mine in right now. You'd have to get at least a 6x2x2 cage. Males are a little smaller, and could probably remain in a huge tub for their lives.

Check out caresheets before you get any animal... and check out more than one. I'd find four or five, just so you can get a good range of information, and find our what's right and what's just made up.

    Hope this helps.

my wife has one, he's about 2yrs. old and around 4ft. long. we have him in a 2x2x1 barrs cage. he's very cool and curious. i don't know alot about boas but we got him from kevin and charlotte barnet of ectothermics.

get in touch with them at www.ectothermics.com they can answer any boa question you have. it might be better to call them if you have alot of questions.

Dude, go with a Boa. You already have a python; go with the boa. 99.9% of the time they are giant babies. You will love it. Any questions at all..IM me or email me. I have six boas and love every one of them. Plus, they get big--BUT they grow pretty slow and you will have lots of time to grow with them. It takes a RTB at least three years to get over six feet.

Albino colombian X suris are all over kingsnake. I'm not much for hybrids usually, but some are super cool.
