Cleaning Shed?

My son's teacher asked if I would be willing to give her my snake's next shed to teach kids a little about snakes. I said I would. So he shed overnight and it looks like he dunked in the water bowl and dragged it across the substrate. Is there any way I can clean it without damaging it too much?

Not sure about cleaning, but if it's not salvageable, let me know, I have an 8.5ft long shed I can mail to you.

It's probably salvageable if you have a very light touch: gently rinse off the substrate, blot the soaking wet shed on towel (paper or otherwise), then gently unroll & allow it to dry. When it's still a little damp,
you can blow into the mouth opening (don't actually put your lips on the shed)- inflating it will make it easier to carefully flatten it out & let it finish drying. Not sure what substrate you're talking about, but it
might come off better in a big bowl of water...just don't clog your sink, lol. I save most intact sheds (unless defecated in) for "show & tell"...kids & adults both get a kick out of seeing & handling up close.

I have no idea how much bedding there is on the snake, but if there is a little bit, you cane pick them off.

I sit my snakes shed skin in the sink with a little warm water to soften it up and unroll it (the kids like seeing it). That usually cleans it up. You just have to be very delicate when its wet.
