Just got another girl!

Hey all,

One of the perks of working at a pet store is that you get first dibs on all the good animals that come from customer trade-ins, drop-offs, etc.

This guy had a 8 y/o female ball python, about 4.5' long and skinny at about 2700 grams give or take. I took the opportunity to take her home.

She even ate a small rat today...kinda wierd with how skittish she was right when she got home. She knew what the rat was right away and wham!

Sounds a bit undersized for 8 years old, so she pobably is kinda skinny. Doesn't look real bad in the pic though. With some good care, she should plump right up. "Instant Breeder", eh.

She's very thin. The guy I got her from had her since she was a hatchling, and he said over the past few years she was eating a large rat once every 3 weeks. Certainly not starving her, buy certainly not getting her up to the weight she could be at. She's not in any way unhealthy, no retained scales, scars, or bites.

Oh she's pretty Brad! What a great thing to find a mature female like that. I'm sure with a few meals you'll have her up to where you'd like her to be.
