RHP and herpstat
Got my new AP, built it, out everything in and then installed the herpstat. I put the day time temp to 88 degrees to see where that gets me first. I think hooked my pro products RHP to it, it’s been about a hour and it has not gone up in temp at all. When I touch the RHP it’s cool to touch. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

From what I have been seeing on this website lately what you did wrong was buying an RHP
Been seeing many post here of late saying they aren't heating right.
Use to be people on here that were so gung ho on them, but haven't heard much from them lately. Just mostly people like yourself who say they can't get their RHP to work right. Don't know whats happening but haven't heard much good about RHP's of late.

Which model Herpstat? I have a friend who put the probe in his thermostat's Input #1 and then plugged the heater into the thermostat's Output #2. So... no heat.

Can you take a picture of the set up and post it please?

Is the plug securely clipped to the cord on the rhp? I’ve got 4 pro heat RHP in three sizes and have had no issues for over three years. The plugs can be a bit stubborn to clip shut though. Had to use a pair of channel locks to secure a couple of them

Re: RHP and herpstat
To rule out or not if the RHP itself is bad, just plug straight into the wall. Put your hand on the RHP and within a couple of minutes it should be pretty warm. You will at least be able to determine if it's the RHP. Just make sure you do not leave that way if it is working. I have pro product RHP in every one of my cages. I have never had an issue. But nothing is perfect

This right here. The plug is a pain to secure.
Even if you do have a more serious issue with the panel, Bob will take care of you.

I got the “click” sound when doing it, but I will recheck it out. I slide the wire through the opening on the latch, then it goes under another silver clip which then after that it gets stab with the electrical connectors. So far it has gone up .3 degrees since my original post.
Pictures in one second need to see how to post.
