    New to Reptichip...

And I have a question. Hello all. I recently got a big block of Reptichip aaaaaand its huge. Im not a breeder and don't need all that at once. First question. Should I just chip off a chunk of Reptichip and use that only? Should I break the entire block and store it in a bin? But when it dries, do I just wet again and use as needed? I don't want to waste the entire block.

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

    Re: New to Reptichip...

When I first used Reptichip, I mistakenly hydrated the entire block thinking I could just store it somewhere and have it on-hand. I'm not a breeder myself. You'll be surprised how much that block expands into! I'd recommend breaking the block as-needed. It's easier to store, saves space, and you won't have to worry about "wasting" anything. Although there certainly are more responsible people out there, I also made a newbie goof of not letting the chips fully dry before storing and they molded pretty quick in the bin. Good luck, it's a great substrate for humidity!

Just hydratenthebwhole block, it's not going to waste ifnyoundo it's just broken up, once done store what you don't need in a tub and use as needed slightly spraying it if dry.
