Malachi Ate!

Well one week to the day after shipping, Malachi was out and about last night looking for food. We defrosted his dinner and with no fuss he happily snarfed it down. One missed strike but the second one was the winner LOL and the little fella happily coiled and consumed his prey.

What a nice little male he is. In the week he's been here he's had a lovely complete shed, a nice poop in the corner of his tub and a good meal into him! We couldn't be more pleased with him. Thanks Adam....he's a lovely male and a pure pleasure to own!

Have to say after getting all of our other balls from pet stores or through rescue, it's a lovely thing to have a well started baby from a breeder. A lot less stress and worry and so nice to know his history of husbandry, etc.

Thanks Christie, he surely is off to an awesome start! Can't wait to hear your new babies have arrived and see some pics of the little beauties!

Once Malachi's had a few meal into him and settled in more I'm looking forward to handling him. He's just lovely looking all newly shed and it's seems forever since we've had a little baby ball to hold! Rionach has grown so quickly (she's now a big 700 gram, 8 month old girlie) that is seems forever since she was a little thing in my hands.

LOL Easy to pick out an "awesome little dude" when all you sent us was pics of awesome little dudes Adam! Actually dang you it's harder!

I want them ALL!!! (echoing sounds of crazed snakey lady with PMS laughter fills the forum)

Anyways, he's great, we love him to bits and pieces and constantly mention to the ladies what a handsome lil stud snake he is (chorus of tongue flicks ensue but I'm not sure they are impressed or just wondering if there's a juicy rat involved in the deal!)

Btw you mentioned he had an awesome feeding response. Holy wow Adam you don't exaggerate. His first strike slammed the f/t prey right out of the hemostats and halfway across his tub . I had to go get it and try again LOL. Next time he nailed it and coiled it with a distinct "MINE MINE MINE" look on his cute snakey face!
