    Newest abandonment, and update!

Please meet the latest ball into Rusty Reptiles:

This little girl was left along with a sav monitor and two pacu, luckily not all in the same cage. But still abandoned none the less. Not well cared for but not the worst we've seen. Ok weight and no external parasites. She is acclimating well in her quarantine enclosure. I'll try and keep you all updated if you'd like.
Oh, and if anyone wants to play the name game, your welcome to give ideas

    Update on Behr...

Do you all remember the last abandonment case?
Well Behr was recently adopted to a nice couple with a great little eleven year old. He is a responsible little man and better yet the parents were quite keen on snakes and ball pyhtons ecspecially. They had a perfect setup and even said they may keep the name after hearing of how he aquired it.
    Thanks

    Thanks for fixing the link.
No the two pacu (yeah low and behold I'm a D### fish rescue..lol) they were still small about seven inches or so long. Really, really nasty tank though, all the animals came out of allot of filth. But the two pacu are doing well in with the big guy (twelve inches, in fact he came to us in a bucket on our front stoop, I guess I am a fish rescue...AAHHH).
    Thanks

"Rusty Reptiles provides a rescue, rehabilitation and education program for all reptiles, amphibians and arachnids. And fish too."

LMAO....I have never heard of someone leaving a fish in a bucket on someones doorstep. That is horrible.

I love fish but I would rather clean reptile enclosure instead of aquariums anyday

Poor little thing. That's so sad. It pisses me off that people do things like that. As for a name, how bout Chyla?

LOL Well you know if I picked a name it would be some odd Celtic name that you can't spell or pronounce real well! You could always go with Annie (like lil orphan annie). She's so sweet! How could anyone not love and want that sweet little snake!

Btw I always forget to ask. Do you have a website about your rescue?

    Re: Newest abandonment, and update!

Thanks all, This is a little off topic but I had to vent.
My hubby takes a nap and wakes up to find a third of the water gone from the Pacu 90 gallon tank....AHHHHH And we live on the second floor.
Well I just finished steam cleaning my neighbors couches (really who owns white couches when you have two crazy kids under ten, I mean really!) So I happily cleaned macoroni and cheese stains out of their carpets and couches. I feel a bit taken for. But it is our responsibility. IN the end it turns out that the seal on the tank (All Glass brand), gave out and leaked.
These Pacui are going to be dinner very shortly..lol
They are living in a sweater box on my floor for the time being. I may have to put them in with the Annacondas. They have a large enough setup. Ahhhh Pacu!
