    Headache

Here's a shot of my latest headache,

The Cage not the husband..lol (well.....)
This is the new juvi. nile cage. Winslow has been working on it for over a month (financially it took a while, and he hasn't been well this month) but It's finally done, and I can finally put my living room back together...whoo hoo!
    Hope you guys like it.
Oh by the way all the lighting is installed in the roof of the cage where nasty little monitor teeth and nails cannot open them up. Also an additional heating panel in the base.
That's good living, don't ya think?

Very nice! I want to be reincarnated as a reptile and come to live in your house (but not be abandoned or mistreated first!)

Thanks all, Win worked really hard on this cage. And my stair case ( Yes we live on the second floor!) took a real beating to get it up here. Literally took a week and the ceiling on my stairwell is now ruined. But that little dang nile sure will be happy.
The cage still needs to be decorated better, Winslow asked me to post a pic when he is actually done with the cage...lol Guess I was too excited to show it off. I also realised I don't ever post pics of our cages. Since Win builds em' all and they are all "natural enclosures" I should post a few. Maybe I'll start taking some shots, if you guys wish...

And Jo, I would love for you to come live here, but sadly these days rescues are the only ones let in. And lately for financial and space I've had to turn a few away. It's better to walk the line of rescue and not hoarder thou. If I took em' all in everyone would sure suffer for it.
That doesn't mean I don't lay awake at night trying to figure out what happend to that poor turtle or iguana we couldn't help.
    Thanks

    Re: Headache

I can imagine that's a hard line to walk having to consider the needs of the pre-existing rescues and your own human family against taking in "just one more" critter. That you do this at all is a wonderful thing and the animals you do manage to save and rehab are very blessed I'm sure.

Having done a bit of rescue here (how did that happen? I never meant to have snakes no one wanted???? LOL) I can only say that I admire you and your family tremendously for doing this on such a major scale compared to our small efforts.

Heck instead of a rescued critter I'll just reincarnate as some free human cage cleaning help! Now that would be more useful I bet! LOL
