First Herp Show
If I hadn't been HOOKED before, I sure am NOW!!!
Woooooo HOoooooooo! Went to my first herp show today! Yaaaaaay to have found one LOCAL!!! I was afraid Seattle or Portland would be the closest. Small, only about 15-20 vendors but I've found my dream babies *slooooobber, droooooooool*!!!! So giving up the other 2 hrs. of sleep before work was worth it! (I work Thur-Sat nights, so this won't happen alot, but I'm glad I went today!!)
I had the chance to handle and inspect a stripe ball for $100. I'm going to do some serious budget manipulation to get him, and then there's a guy that's selling his two 100%het albino males for $150 each....so I'm going to try and scrounge for the older of the two...documents and all......he's a trip away, and I have about a week or two before I'm heading in that direction for family reasons, so I'm hoping to get the het on the return trip. SWEEEEEEET!!!
Now that I've seen them IRL, first hand, my non-ball purchases will be a Columbian RTB, and a Hogg Isle. Gorgeous!!!!!! If I can get the RTB that's up for adoption, what a coup!! and there's a local breeder that had such a beautiful little male Hogg for $150. Now at least I know there's local breeders that I can support, go inspect their babies, and not have to pay the shipping. I can't WAIT until the next show in March. Two more in Feb, but they're farther away...so I may just have to wait (WAaaaaaaaaaah ) until the closer one in March.
FD just LOOOOOVED seeing all the corn morphs and was in 7th Heaven during her pic w/the RTB. I'm going to do my best to get her Christmas present early.
I can't wait!! (Sorry for the excessive enthusiasm! )
