Repti chip

I'm have been wondering and have also tried finding and looking up how after about 2 weeks of using repti chip and it goes dry am I supposed to rehydrate it? I have tried misting with a squirt bottle but it only seems to get the surface. I also tried to pure a cup of water and mix it around that seemed to work best. I'm just wondering if there is a better solution to this out there. Thanks

Yes you do need to re hydrate it, I use one of those 1 gallon hand held sprayers that people use for spraying pesticide to mist my substrate every other day or as needed.Before buying one of those I picked up at a Petco a small pressure mister. It worked very well and kept humidity up.

In AZ I found repti-chip did not hold enough humidity.

Repti chip alone will dry out pretty quick.

Try using a coco coir substrate. I use a blend of Eco Earth and ReptiBark. It holds humidity well, spot cleans easy, retains odor and looks naturalistic.
