    Oh no ants are here...

Just like the title says. Oh no. Ants are coming. It's starting to get warm outside here and we always have an issue with ants. Black ants. I guess they are Argentinean ants, if im not mistaken. Well...I just saw a few outside the enclosure and I removed like 3 to 5 inside the actual tank. How can I get rid of this issue? Can I spray the outside of the enclosure with Raid (ant killer)? Of course not with the snake inside. Like can I take the snake out, spray the exterior of the enclosure and table? Then place the snake back inside after a few?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Pick up some taro! (Not sure if works on those varieties). Do a circle around enclosure of Diatomaceous earth. I would avoid spraying poisons.

Re: Oh no ants are here...

I battled with ants in my old home this time of the year and finally gave up. Never near enclosures per say but I finally had them professionally remediated on the outside of the home and have had the same company treat every year. No issues. They can be a tremendous pain in the backside.

Not sure how safe it is for animals....but baby powder will drive any ants completely away.
