    Red Circles on Eggs

Hi Guys, this is only my second clutch of the year and it wasn’t such a great one. 4 eggs but most of them with deformities (boob eggs) one perfect one.
I noticed these red circles at the top of the eggs which I assumed are the embryos? Anyone else ever seen this, if so what do you think.
What do you guys think of the general condition of the eggs? Will they go full term?

    Thanks for your help

Without a picture it's hard to tell you are either dealing with a healthy vein structure or you are dealing with a small weak vein structure that will not lead to anything.

My first and only clutch so far this year had one that I noticed the same circle your talking about. It was a roll out so I was thinking it may be bad but so far it looks just as good as the rest, not molding or anything so I think it's ok, it's only about 2 weeks along though. I found it odd because I've never noticed the circle on any of my other eggs but I was thinking because it was a roll out, it's probably not positioned the same making it visible where as the others its probably on the bottom.

    Re: Red Circles on Eggs

Another problem is that its only the 4th day in the incubator and there are already signs of mold, does mold indicate that the eggs are no good and if so any options?

Considering that you are not showing a picture of your eggs being candled not much here to go buy to make an assessment.

Egg mold for various reason first thing to do is candle and see if they are still viable, if so mold can be stopped from spreading in some cases by using athlete foot powder or elmer or gorilla glue. Now if the egg are no longer viable it won't matter much.
