Ok, at this point I am very seriously considering a Sumatran Short-Tailed Python as my next addition, but I have a few questions I would like to throw out there while I'm still in the research and prep phase...

Obviously, these guys will need a PVC enclosure, I am thinking 4x2, would you guys recommend 12" or 15", given the overall girth at full size? Which leads to my next question, is it safe to use an RHP with such a stocky snake, or would a UTH be a better option for short-tails? My biggest concern with the UTH is that they don't really do much for ambient temps, and while I realize that the heat requirements are only 80-82ish, I keep my house about 75, so I kinda felt like an RHP would provide a more reliable ambient temp.
