Okay since I have had my ball python in his larger enclosure which is been about two weeks now... he has pooped three times !!!I I'm guessing more exercise does that?

Maybe so, or just a coincidence. Maybe in a small cage they hold it in as long as possible because they can't get away from it as they would in the wild?
Don't know if they have that kind of foresight...?

Re: Snake poops more often with larger enclosure

    Well maybe.....
    He went from a 10gal to a 40.
At the time when I got him 5 months ago the 10-gallon seemed to have plenty of room now he looks like the 40 is a perfect size for him!
I feel that a snake should have a big enough enclosure to where they can completely stretch out full length and still have extra room.
So I don't think a 40 is going to be his final home size. I'm going to want him to have more room in a few more months

It's most likely having more room to move, & I agree with you on that.

Moving around stimulates bowel movements in most animals.
