Alternative Substrate to Aspen

I have been keeping my ball pythons on aspen for years, but recently my wife has developed what seems to be an allergy to it. What substrate would work as a great alternative? I know newspapers or paper towel works, but I would rather something more natural if possible. I have been looking into coconut coir, as I keep my dubia roach colonies on it, and was wondering if this would work?

I'm using coco husk and cypress mulch, mixed up in tank. Works pretty well, had a natural look, easy to clean, and holds humidity pretty well.

coco coir and coco chips have been used for years in the herp industry so yes it will work.

For larger species I recommend coco chips.

I use a blend of eco earth and Repti bark, have been for years. It holds humidity well, spot cleans well and looks naturalistic.
