First shed complete. Just one question.
I didn't get home until late last night, and flipped the lights on in the room to check and see if he had started shedding. He had his head sticking out of his hot hide, and next to him was a shed. I opened the top, lifted his hide, and found a shed...all in one piece laying in there. Everything came off except for one eye cap and the last 1/4 inch of his tail. I picked him up and scraped off the tail piece, and in doing so, he whipped his head around fast enough to discard most of the eye cap. My question: there is still just a little bit of shed left on the very outer part of his eye, is this something that I should worry about or should I just leave it?...it is a very small piece, and 95% of his eye is uncovered.
I guess that through all the worrying, I had the cage set up pretty well.
BTW: he was a testy little thing, maybe because I bothered him in the middle of the night, the little bugger tried to bite my face off!!! First time he's ever tried to strike me.

Sorry, I think you got buried in all the ther posts. I have been told that as long as the bp can see and there is no damage to the eye than leave it for the next shed to take off. Someone with more experiance can answer better, however, I wouldn't attempt doing anything without someone who knows what they are doing there with you to coach you along.

I wouldn't ever recommend 'scraping' off part of a stuck shed. That's a great way to lose/injure tail tips.. and make your snake want to eat your face
Instead, soak your snake for an hour or so and gently rub it off it doesn't come off by itself.
