    Mites life cycle

I currently have our new 9mos old bci on paper towel so I can watch for mites as well as check her poop. We've had her for a week and was wondering how long does it take to rule out the snake having mites? So far, I've not seen anything that looks like mites. She will remain in quarantine for several months, however I'm wanting to change to a cypress mulch so I can help with my humidity levels but don't want to change until I'm sure h doesn't have mites.
    thanks for your help

This page should help you get familiar with mites and their life cycle.

It's usually recommended to keep your snake in quarantine for 2-3 months to make sure you're mite free. 3 months being the most ideal and safest.
