    Heating and behavior question...

I can't seem to keep the temps above 80 at nite in my terrarium... I've got a heating pad and a 150W ceramic heat emitter that I keep on 24/7. The temps are fine in the daytime but at night the temp on cool side drops into mid 70's. The front of the terrarium is mesh so I've covered it...still not enough. I was thinking of getting a 75w black light to help keep the temp up...any thoughts? The other issue I have is for the last 3 days neither of my snakes will get out of the water dish. They are both about to shed but there's also the temp issue. What will make them "hid" in the water dish for that long? I am really starting to worry...

Shedding makes snakes want to soak.

Consider getting a space heater for the room the snakes are in. Works great for me.. get one with a thermostat that you set.

you can get fairly inexpensive ones from like Walmart...just be carefull what you buy and learn how to use it and make sure it works as specified and has an emergency shut off...or better yet throw i tstat on it.
