Unhappy am I over doing it

am i over doing it, i am very worried my enclosures temp has been 76 thru 73 being the lowest im thinking about useing back injury heating pads or a battery system, i worry that its power will run out in the middle of the night and a huge change in tempature would be more detrimental?????? info please

Re: am I over doing it

I went ahead and merged these threads since they are basically the same thing.

Yes, I would try and get those temps up. If you don't you are just asking for a RI. I have some of those back injury pads as a means of emergency heat. Just be careful with them as they heat up to about 106 degrees. At least that's what temp I got, when I used them last winter. Just don't let your snakes come in direct contact with them and you should be fine. Maybe move them to a bathroom or closet.
