    Shed question

Hey everyone. I got my snake about a month ago. I gave him a week to acclimate and he's eaten every week since, 3 times now. He's been consistent with his pooping too. As of last Friday he weighed 194g. (His first and currently only weigh in.)

I'm sure this is a pretty noob question but when should I expect him to shed? I know all snakes are different and they don't really have a schedule, but is there a rule of thumb?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Each snake is different a bit, but at this age, sooner then later. Especially if he keeps eating. Lol. If I remember correctly around 5 to 6 times a year at the age and size.

Lots of neonate or hatchling snakes will shed about once a month IF they are feeding regularly (about once a week on prey of adequate size) & kept at the
right temperatures, but there's lots of variation. I think it won't be long before yours clouds up.

    Re: Shed question

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really worried about it but I wanted to get an idea of what to expect so I could know when to start worrying. Lol!
