Mia had a terrible shed. This is the first time since we got her that she did not shed all in one piece. It also took her longer. 3 weeks!
She refused her meal.
Then a few days later we could tell she was going to shed so didn't bother trying to feed again.
Took her almost 2 weeks to shed..or so we thought.
Eyes were clear.
She looked clean of shed (but we couldn't find any skin so assumed it was under the bedding) so my son tried to feed..she refused.
Left her alone for a couple of days.
Then my son decided to take her out her out to look her over ... her eyes were so blue again you couldnt even see them so he put her right back in her enclosure.
Took her another week to shed. This time he saw ALL the pieces. She shed in about 5 different pieces and he had to help her with what was stuck on her head and just behind her head. He used the wet paper towel method.. It worked. She finally got it all off.
Fed her the next day and she went right for it!
Don't understand the bad shed this time but it's done.
Oh and we also got one of the biggest healthiest looking poos we've ever got from her. (Only pet parents get excited over poo)
So here she is nicely shed and clean with an empty stomach... (Before feeding)
