    changed my setup..how's this sound

ok, I went and got a heating pad with no shutoff for the cool side of the tank. I have a exoterra uth on the hot side. Temps read: 93 inside the hot hide and 83 on the cool side on the surface. Covered the screen top with saran wrap minus 1 inch on either side. The humidity instantly went up and is holding at 58-62%. No more lights...I think that I like this way better, and there will be no nightime drop since there is a thermostat controlling the room temperature. Do you guys like it? Thanks for all the great info, you all have been a super help to a new BP owner.

I reccomend losing the Human Heat pad, while they do work they arent went to be run 24/7 and pose a fire hazard. I have one that started melting down, the next day all mine where changed out. other than that the setup looks great. A 2nd UTH on a dimmer will do the same thing a Human heat pad is doing.

I have never set up anything on a dimmer before....I imagine it is something I can find at a hardware store ie lowes, home depot. Any tips?

Lamp dimmers are great, lowes or HD will carry them cost around 9.99 and you simply plug the dimmer into the outlet and the UTH into the dimmer and then adjust the slide bar to the desired temp.
