wow, those are awesomely terrifying. is your house going to be safe from the fire?
my dad works for the department of forestry and has fought a great many forest fires all over the U.S. and i can say that big fires like that pretty much terrify me. nothing like a 3 a.m. phone call and dad rushing out the door (without knowing when he will be back) to fight a fire up on the mountain somewhere. :shudder:
Thats freaky, even for me, I use to be a fire fighter, worked in regular fire dept. and for forestry. I hope your home is safe... keep us up dated as much as you can.

The house is about 200 feet away with well grazed fields in between so the fire is no threat.... this one was also pretty mellow and burned itself out during the night... when there is a realy good wind behind them sometimes the entire trees light up and then you have fames 100 feet into the air
