    New substrate

So I started using a new substrate in my tank to hold in humidity better, and I just fed my girl a new size rat. She had some substrate in her mouth, should I be worried? She was in a tub enclosure up until last week and I used wee wee pads as her bedding. Obviously it didn't hold in the humidity well so we switched to this stuff.
    -a worried mom lol

    Re: New substrate

Likely no issue at all. Was it just a small piece or so?

    Re: New substrate

I put card down over my orchid / Reptibark substrate and they strike feed over the top of the card just to minimise ingestion of any pieces of bark ( I also buy the 'fine' option which has much smaller pieces) ..

Even so if I ever see a piece of bark in the snake mouth or stuck on the rat ... I use the tongs to pull the bark out or off . Royals are so gentle and slow moving it's easy enough normally
