Yesterday I received my Reptile Basics 2X3 with LED bar cage and so far I couldn’t be happier with the set up. It took 3 weeks (to the day) for the cage to arrive on my front porch but I think it till be totally worth it. I live in a cold dry state and was having troubles keeping the humidity consistent in a glass enclosure (you can see the little patch of stuck shed behind his head). It’s only been a day so who knows how it will be in the future but the humidity and temps have been consistent.
I have a Pro Products RHP installed on the left side of the tank connected to a Herpstat Redline. The temperature probe hangs down just to the side of the panel. I called Pro Products with the cage dimension and average ambient room temperature and they knew exactly which panel I needed.
After I got it set up and the temps came up I put my ball python in and he explored every corner of the cage for a few hours. Checking out every hide and even climbed through the fake leaves. This morning there already was a few pieces of his shed on the cage floor that had fallen off.
So far I am completely impressed with this set up and can not recommend it enough. The RHP was a pain to install on the top but when it’s all done I couldn’t be happier. If you are having temp or humidity issues I would seriously consider saving up and looking into one of these. I know it’s only been a day with it and I’ll keep updating on this thread, but if you are on the fence about ordering one, do it!
