The Ones That Didn't Happen

so i had 3 successful clutches for my first season and hit a few of my goals. Yay! but i actually had 2 other pairings that didn't work out.

first was my VPI Snow Ball project w/ Ozma my Axanthic girl and Dr. Nikidik my Albino het Snow boy. both my friends at HDI Reptiles.

1st Lock:

there were 2 other locks but i don't think i saved those pix. (i witnessed 4 locks for all of my pairings this season before i stopped.)


the other pairing was Ruby my Lied girl (Lesser Pied) from Dave Green Reptiles and Boq, a Pied boy from my friend Mike at Porters Pythons. Boq was initially paired w/ my Pied girl Nessarose, but since he is a single gene Pied, i re-paired him with Ruby to create more Lied's, Pieds and maybe prove out that she is also Cinny. (her mom was a ringer Cinny Lesser per Dave Green).

i thought Ruby ovy'ed at some point. looking back she looks normal in this pix but i swear she was huge. anyways she's always been a big girl but she demonstrated the usual mama w/ eggs behavior:


and i thought this was her prelay on 5/18, but she never laid. :/ she's just gonna hold onto the sauce i guess.

I had a few reabsorbs this season as well. All of my hra stuff. So disappointing but it's all part of the breeding game. Hopefully you will see eggs of those girls this season

Too bad! Both of those pairings are awesome.
It's possible though that Ozma didn't actually ovy. Couple seasons ago, I had girl get right to the edge of ovulation -- swollen, glowing, everything. Stopped right before she ovulated and resorbed. It sucks, but it happens. But, there's always the next season. Er. This season
