Chin patch on BCI?

Hi y’all! I noticed my hypo jungle BCI has a chin patch. I know that Dumerils have them, but is that typical of BCI, as well? I can’t really find any info on it! TYIA!

I think all snakes have it so there mouth can open up wider when eating food
