    Update: Alister Ate This Evening

I am very happy to report that Allister ate this evening, for the first time since I adopted him. I fed him a pre-killed, thawed crawler. He did very well, it only took him two minutes to swallow it down.

I followed the advice you all gave me, and it worked. Thank you very much for your encouragement and support.

I will continue to post updates about Allister, and soon I should have his picture to post as well.

... Marzipan and Dante are seriously mad at me that the snake got a mouse and they didn't. But they;ll get over it

Oh that's great to read....good for you Kenny and Allister! It's always great when feeding goes well especially that very first one in a new home.

Toss the ferals a wee bit of turkey burger just to be nice lol or they can come visit me and kill moles to their heart's content. Our local feral cat population doesn't seem to be keeping down the mole society currently ruining what front yard I have LOL.

    Jo

LOL ... my mom has a colony of twenty cats. Most all of them are fixed now, thank G-d ... we have a deal worked out with a vet in Richmond. She feeds them and associates with them and in return the keep the mice out of her hay, and the moles out of the horse pasture.

Dante and Marz we brought in when they were babies ... we found them, along with a few other kittens in the main yard, with the dogs ... scary! that's why we have been getting the colony fixed now.

marzipan likes to sneak around and drink my beer ... I have to keep a very watchful eye on that one.

But anyway thank you again for your encouragement. I am glad my boy is finally eating, and there are a lot of good things going on in this forum and I am glad to be a part of it.

You take care and have a pleasent evening.
