    Elvaston castle

    It was a nice dry today so I took my grandkids Harriet 4 and Nancy 2 ,
    Elvaston castle is 5miles from there house and is such a great place to walk round, it’s a gothic revival style started in 1815 and finished in 1836 by the earl of Harrington, the country park is 321 acres and free to walk round just pay for parking. Here’s a few pics
    that was part of the old Japanese garden that’s disappeared now,a bit creepy
    the lakes gone green in places from being so hot there’s a cafe in the courtyard that helps pay for repairs
