Question BP In Hide For a While

    Hello everyone!

my BP has been in her log hide for a day or 2 now, and I dont think she's left it. Its on the hotter side of the enclosure, But I checked and everything has a good gradient from 78 F on the coolest to 95 on the very hottest side. The hide is around 91 F, and the middle is 80-85 F. Is this normal?

I'd lower the temp a few degrees on the "hottest side" (not over 92*, pref. 90*).

Your snake may be going into a shed cycle- they usually prefer the cool hide when shedding...is there a hide on the cool side also? there should be, if not.
(FYI- because snakes generally choose to hide over the proper temperature if there's only one hide.)

Or she is just digesting- when was she fed last?

    As already suggested ...
Staying in a hide for two days is normal straight after a feed or if it's going into or is in shed mode ..

After those two then it's possibly temp related ..
May I enquire how / you are checking the temps ??

    What kind of thermometer ?

Are you using a stick on one - similar "looking" to this hygrometer maybe

Yeah, I agree, get tjat hot side temp down. 92 is the highest suggested temp but I prefer to stay 89-90.

If also guess a shed may be coming. They will often stay hidden for the duration of the shedding process.
