What to use for climbing sticks?

I've seen a lot of people keep "sticks" of some sort in their BP's enclosures, on the off chance that they want to climb a little. I haven't had any luck finding anything though (nothing is coming up on my google search for "climbing stick for ball pythons," lol). I know about driftwood, but I want something more "stick-like", rather than all branchy and weird like most driftwood tends to be. What do you use?

Maybe explain your thinking more to give everyone a chance to come up with ideas ...

I'm not sure where your 'coming' from tbh .. I've always strived to keep everything looks kinda natural including the substrate ( Orchid - Repti Bark ) the hides ( ExoTerra natural hides) fake silk/ plastic foliage ( Dollar shops) and of course branches ( local woods / parks / forests ) ..

Re: What to use for climbing sticks?

I honestly want it to look as natural as possible, but every time I google "climbing stick for snakes" nothing pops up. In my area it's almost impossible to find driftwood suitable for a snake to climb on. It's either spider driftwood, branching all around like crazy, or thick stumps. I wasn't sure if we could use sticks from the woods around us, is that a possibility? I just want something natural looking that my girl can climb on if she wants.

Depending on the enclosure, they make whats basically a bendable wire covered in fake bark that you can use to create branches shaped how you like. Im blanking on what it's called but will try to find it online..

I actually just bought something similar online, it was a climbing vine held up by suction cups. It broke every time we tried to bend it. :/ If I could find something like what you're talking about that was more branch like and less fragile, I'd be so happy!

Ok .... so you wan't to be searching online or ringing people up and asking about reptile or climbing branches ..
Everyone I know uses the ones found locally .. hopefully someone will know more about any trees / branches you should avoid .. I cut them to length and hot-glue them in place ...

I also use weathered driftwood for snake Viv decorations ..

I also cut mine to length so I can have some fairly straight sections of branch for any of the GTP enclosures I've done. I don't know what kind of cage you have, but I make little brackets for mine for easy removal. I basically get little hooks that I can screw into the cage then I screw a hole in the branches so they fit on the hooks, that way they just lift right out when needed.
