    Nicaraguan Boa Size

Im interested in getting a boa in a couple months. I've been looking at Columbian BCIs but the only thing is their size. I saw somewhere that nicaraguan boas only get to about 6' at max size is that true.

    Re: Nicaraguan Boa Size

Ya....Nicaraguans are generally smaller than most other BCIs....I will try to get my brother to post on this....when he picked up his columbian/hogg mix from EbN...he had to choose between those and some nicaraguans...i am pretty sure Celia or Sean showed him some full grown Nicaraguans when he was debating on which to get....

If I remember correctly(we were on the phone when he was picking because he wanted my input)...nicaraguans have about the same size range as ball pythons.

Hoggs stay fairly small as well. Most of the island boas stay small. And Mexican Boas are small, too. If you want more information on the locality boas check out RioBravoReptiles.com. Gus keeps a ton of locality boas and can answer any questions you might have about them.

As far as Hoggs go.. mine is 5.5'+, and I saw a male even bigger than she was.
