    For those that have wondered...

Yes they will eat quail. The boys will anyway. Three of my boys love these things. None of my girls will touch them.

Honest, I only need one more ...

Mine won't, he's all about the rodents and that's it. The other snakes seem to take birds fine.

Yeah, I got the quail because I have a problem child adult male that I acquired that was seriously testing my skills even after a six month fast so I was in a I will try anything mode. He didn't eat them, but I didn't want to toss them so I skipped two regular feedings for a few good feeding males I have and bam, they will now eat the birds or rats. I didn't have any problems with diarrhea either that I have heard reported with other snakes that are eating birds.

Thanks, my schedule has been nuts over the last couple months. Crazy would be an understatement. I'm sure you have been holding down the fort well. Its starting to slow down now and its a good thing because my first clutch for the season is due to hatch in two weeks. I think I have something like ten clutches hatching in a month's time frame. I'm going to be getting busy again quick. Going to have some good stuff this year I think.

Please PM me if anything eventful happen during my hiatus.

Busy is usually a good thing. Any which way, glad to see you back. I'll be looking forward to some updates on those clutches when the time come.

The mass of the quail was around the same as a small rat. Zero mess unless you count a little bit of down. I fed a twice thawed one once, and no problems with that either. Cleanliness wise it was better than rats. There is almost always a couple drops of blood with rats. No defecation issues either.

The babies should be nice. Almost no chance of normals I have a single 1/64 chance of getting one. Almost everything I am breeding has Super or ALS involved. Lots of white and purple snakes on the way. Many enchi combos and a few highways. Sadly no Super Gravel or Lavender Super Phantom this year which is what I really wanted.

Figured you would be the one to catch my double meaning if you were still around. I didn't mean to be gone for so long, next thing I knew months had gone by.

    The poop was normal.
