So I got a humid hide for my girl and she absolutely loves it. She’s in blue right now and lives her whole day in that thing. But I had questions about it.

First off, I’m using a (Zoo med? Zilla? Oh dear.) rock hide. The kind with the lid that lifts off and you can put spagnum moss inside. So that’s what I used is damp sphagnum moss.

Can she get scale rot if she becomes obsessed with being inside of the humid hide? Should I leave it in her tank constantly due to humidity instability? Or remove it and only use it for shed? I know the effectiveness of their shed is affected by their humidity their whole cycle around so I’d think I’d want to leave it for her.

What do I need to know about humid hides?! Thanks!
