    Ambient Temps on AP unit

Looking for some imput here. I currently keep my Pythons in a heated room at 84 with a hot spot via heat tape. Given the cost of running a space heater 24/7 and the fact I dont like keeping my snakes in my basement I'm thinking of switching it up and bringing them upstairs.

I see Animal Plastics has some units that have 11" heat tape running down both sides as a heating option. Given that I keep my main floor living space at about 70 degrees I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this unit and what kind of ambient temps they are seeing inside their tubs with the wider heat tape running down both sides. I guess my biggest question is if you have experience with this type of set up, are you able to maintain 84 or so degrees in the tubs with heat tape on both sides? I'm ok doing away with Belly heat as long as I can maintain 84 or 85 in the tubs themselves

Use a RHP and then you won't need the space heater (unless your room drops below 60) or heat tape.
