    Khaleesi Progression Thread (Dumerils)

    Hey everyone,

So after I posted about khaleesi a couple months back, I have been getting a lot of emails in regards to her and figured I put together a progression thread. I have had many reptiles and snakes in my life and I am hoping to be able to answer anyones questions in regards to dumerils. This thread will follow everything from growth to issues to cage builds to everything in between. Below are some quick facts about her.

    Age- 1 year 8 months
    Birthday- August 8th 2016
Breeder- Samual at BC creature ( cant recommend him enough)
How I got her- Morph Market
When I got her- September 2017
    Feeding schedule- Every 14 days
Feeding issues- none (I got lucky, came well established from Samual)
    Feeder size- small rats
Feeder source- perfect prey ( their feeders are on the smaller size, which I prefer)
Size- Huge for a dumerils of her age, she just wont stop growing, her length is about 46 inches give or take.
Observed shedding schedule- every 6 weeks to 8 weeks
    Shedding timeline- 10-14 days
    Cool side temperature- 77/78
    Warm side- 84-86
    Hot spot 88-90
    Current cage size - 48x18x15
Current cage build (will be done by the end of the month) - 60x24x24
Handling schedule- 4 days after she eats then every other day or what my work schedule allows me to ( she seems to enjoy being out, exploring, and sitting on my lap on the couch)
Aggression- Never! Not even an attempt to get mad, typical laid back dumerils personality.

This is picture from yesterday, completely empty.

Thank you, yes she does have a nice salmon color on her neck, tho its turning more orange vs pink every shed. I love the natural pattern too. I love ball python morphs don’t get me wrong but there is something to be said about mother natures natural beauty.

Awesome share!! She’s gorgeous and damn big!! Lol

i just got my first dum this week. I have a male but they are about similar in age I believe.

Will be cool to see them grow side by side. I went male cause I didn’t want a beast like her !! Lol. She’s gorgeous but HUGE ahaha.

Awesome and congrats on your first dum! Can you post a pick of him? Id love to see him. And yea i wasn’t prepared for her to grow this fast or get this big haha. I just thought she would just be average size. NOPE haha, but i love every ounce of her and shes so chill its awesome. I look at it as a good thing. Yes shell be a monster but Ive never had the dreaded dumerils feeding issues.

Isn’t it ridiculous how fast the list grows and grows! I have to take time away from this site every ounce and a while cause before I know it im turning whole rooms in my house into snake rooms haha.

I started a thread on him when I first got him so I won’t hijack your thread too much but will leave a pic below. His name is Sushi... if you check for him you will find it. I’ll post pics soon. Going to try and feed him tonight. Wish me luck!!! I went with a well started one myself for the same reason! I hope it pays off.

My guy is very very pink/red/orange. Pretty much all through his body. I love the pink on your girls neck.
