Here before too long I plan to build a larger incubator. I like how efficient my current set up is, as the thermostat barely keeps the heat pad running to keep te temp correct. But I need something bigger as this one is made from a foam insulated shipping box that handles one clutch at a time. I plan to build this one like a piece of furniture and look like a simple wardrobe. But the inside will be lined with 1” foam sheeting and a layer of either a thin plastic or pvc sheeting to make the inside moisture resistant. The shelves will attach on the sides with a strip of heat tape running down the back and curling around the bottom. And a little computer fan to keep the temp fairly equal throughout.

My question for those that breed a similar sized collection. I’m currently at 5 adults, 5 hatchlings and plan to keep a total of 12 breeders at some point. So 3-4 males and 8-9 females. How many egg tubs would you be happy with that you have plenty of space Incase of multiple large clutches but not be excessively large. I’m thinking large enough for 12 tubs should be about right.
I’ve got a while but currently have 3 females up to size. And only want to have to build once. Atleast for a while.
What do you all think?

Thanks,
Kyle
