Tips for dealing with itching after a nonvenomous snake bite?

So, I got tagged twice by my hognose. I didn't let her chew on my finger but also wasn't expecting her to suddenly develop an aggressive feeding response. Any suggestions on dealing with the itch following bites on the fingers? I've tried benadryl, ivarest and an after bite pen and none have worked. Bite was on Saturday and one finger is starting to get better but I'm going crazy with wanting to itch my fingers raw.

The rare hognose bite huh? That stinks. At least your reaction seems somewhat mild.

I've actually heard rubbing a glue stick on itches helps. No joke. I just read that recently and have yet yo try it, but hopefully the warm weather is coming so mosquitos won't be far behind and I'll try it then

Have you tried hydrocortisone cream with a pain relief agent? Same thing you would use for a wasp sting or ant bite. Should temporarily relieve the itch until your body stops having a reaction.

Never been bit by my hognose, but was bit by a mangrove snake once... Advil and benadryl helped for that one, and that was far worse than an itch. Lol

Actually a Hognose is considered to be rear fanged venomous and is banned in some states. Personally I'd visit a doctor who has experience with snake bites. Some people can have a severe reaction:

That's what my mangrove bite looked like... except with more necrotized tissue.
