A small little milestone for Rei.

So I decided to try the switch to f/t process for Rei today, it's only been 4 days since her last feeding, but she was sitting out on-top of her log when I got home from work today. I've taken that as a sign of "Hello? Where is my meal?" and every time I've offered a meal when she's done that she's eaten. So I got out one of the mice I bought today, thawed it in warm water, and then instead of a hair-dryer, (mind you its 11pm at night and mom is sleeping) I just held the head under her heat lamp. As soon as the mouse scented the room she was smelling the air and moving around.
I first offered the mouse via tongs and she struck rather quickly, but missed, so she was somewhat put off. I decided to go with the "make it dance" and she continued to be interested the entire time I was clumsily learning how to offer a dead mouse to my snake. Because of this I had to reheat the mouse a couple times, always under the lamp and she showed interest the entire time.
I finally had to turn the lights out(she definitely prefers to hunt/strike in dark) and I more or less twitched it in front of the hide she was in and she finally struck and coiled!
I didn't think she'd take to eating a pre-frozen mouse first go and after my clumsiness too.
Lets just say I am proud of my Rei, and honestly delighted that she isn't exhibiting any of that famed pickiness of BP's.
