1 1/2 y/o ball python feeding behavior
So my 1 1/2 y/o ball pythons feeding behavior has been weird lately and i'd like to get some opinions on it. I've had this snake since he was just a month old and i had barely any problems with him eating since then, but in the last 2 months his beavior regarding food has completely changed.
He used to almost immediately take the food off the tongs, I was always super proud of how easily he would go through his feeding sessions but then he suddenly wouldn't eat off the tongs anymore, he didn't display any signs a bp normally displays when food is around (the s-position of the neck, high alertness etc.), he barely showed any interest at all, so I started showing him the mouse and then laying it on his branch and he'd gently take the food into his mouth and eat it from there.
Okay, I thought, as long as he eats it shouldn't be a problem right? but then he stopped eating completely about three weeks ago. So i'm wondering since he's 1 1/2 now that he might have gone on a feeding strike bc it's still winter, even though that would be pretty late, but i can't explain it any other way.
i haven't changed his food, his feeding schedule, husbandry or anything else when those changes in his behavior started, so i'm honestly at a loss of knowledge rn. do any of you have any advise? should i go see a vet?

Re: 1 1/2 y/o ball python feeding behavior
i haven't weighed him in a while, so i can't say exactly, but he should be fine for his size, his spine is not showing prominently and he's also pretty sure not overweight. I also don't think he's going into shed, he had a fine one shortly before his behavior changed.
i should also say that the rest of his behavior hasn't changed at all, the only time where he behaves differently is during the feeding
