I have a 3 month old Ball Python. She's only 170 grams, up from 55 grams, when iIfirst got her. So, once a month I take my ball python (Cleo) to the local reptile shop to get weighed. While I'm at the reptile shop, I go ahead and give her a rat while I am there. Well today, on my way home she escaped from her box and I didn't notice it because I was paying attention to the heavy traffic in Denver. I realize that she actually went up into the dash board. Once I got home, I saw that her tail is hanging from the bottom of the dash. I couldn't reach her and I immediately removed my glove box and was still unable to get her. It may get cold tonight so what I am going to do is start the car every hour and let it run for 10 minutes to keep it warm. I also got a motion detector from Harbor Freight and I'm going to put it on the floor of the car to notify me in my bedroom of any movements in the car. Hopefully she's able to set the motion detector off. I am also going to put a night heat light and a heating pad on the floor. Hopefully she will find a warm spot in the car. She just ate as we were at the reptile shop. I know a dead rat wouldn't work because she just ate. So the whole reason why I created this blog is because I want to know if anybody else has any other ideas that I could do to get her out? Thank you for your time!
