    Temperature fixed?

Well I have been having problems w/ my temp the last couple days and I went and bought a new thermometer at the pet store last night. I already had a digi but I had the feeling it was inaccurate. I was right, the new one changes it's reading really fast when I move it to a cooler/warmer temps and even measures fractions of a degree where as the other adjusts slowly if at all.

It was apparently 100 degrees directly under the basking light yesterday afternoon(and that was supposed to be on the cool side), 100 in the warm hide and who knows for the rest of the tank. I am sorry little buddy I am trying

So I think I got it at reasonable temps now what do you think?
91 degrees in the warm hide, 88 degrees on the warm side and 80 degrees for the cool side/hide.....hmmmm, hmmmm. Not bad right?

    Re: Temperature fixed?

I'm just using a 10-20 gal UTH for a 40 gal. tank! I was using this on the warm side and a basking lamp on the cooler side. I have decided the ambient room temperature stays high enough (75-85 degrees) that the basking lamp is more of a detriment than a benefit. I am thinking of getting a dimmer switch for the lamp for extra heat when the weather cools down.
