Maybe people figured this out by themselves allready, but I started with a melamine / wood rack a while ago in a room with pretty low temps (70's). I started experimenting a bit...
I now have one heatmat in the back for al racks (bellyheat) fitted with a thermostat at 89 degrees in the tub.
I fitted two large heatmats OUTSIDE the rack at both front sides on a seperate thermostat and ..... tadaa.... problem solved.. A solid and stable 82 in the "cold spot" at the front of the tub.
One downside: A lot of heatloss at the sides....
I'm now building another rack where I try to fit an extra heatmat in the inside / front from top to bottom of the rack.... See how that turns out!
