Water feature bioactive viv

I plan to make a bioactive vivarium for my all python. I want to make a waterfall/pond with a pump as a water source. Yet I'm not sure how long this will last in a vivarium. Can someone please tell me the pros and cons to keeping that as a constant source in a bioactive viv? And the longevity and Maintainance as well. If this doesn't work I have no problem simply using a water dish. Thank you

Have you had any other bioactive setups? If this is your first one I'd go with a water bowl for now. A water feature if not set up properly can be a pita and a lot of maintenance. Even a properly set up one will still require water changes.

I highly recommend against a water feature. They look cool and add a bit of flair to a vivarium, but from a maintenance standpoint, are really not worth it. Too many things can clog or go wrong with them. Additionally, ball pythons are heavy snakes and can damage them unless they are very robust.

I do bioactive vivariums and do not use water features. The soil, plants, and water bowl more than suffice in keeping humidity levels up.
