My snake bit me and now I have weird bumps
So I have had been having troubles finding a good hide for my snake for a while because the one she loved so much wasn't good for her humidity
and so I got one that I thought would be good and it was at first but I guess it was just too open and not making her happy
I was messing around with her like normal which I have done 100 times before but this time I guess she was stressed and hungry
(i was also having trouble finding her the right sized food)
But now she has food that is actually enough for her and I modified the hide and she is acting much more normal and much more happy
Her biting me was a few weeks ago and I cleaned the wound right after being bit (I did bleed a LOT) and now I have these strange bumps on my finger
I cleaned and put a bandaid and I think some ointment on the wound right after being bit and kept it clean
but now I have these strange bumps on the top of my finger where she bit me
but they aren't on the underside of my finger where I was also bit
Can anyone explain this??

Well, you could have teeth lodged in your finger, in which case they should work themselves out eventually, much like a splinter.

Yep , been there , done that !
I got bit on my hand whilst feeding one evening ..
Hardly hurt at the time ,but was tender and bit itchy for a few days .
About a week later my hand started to hurt a little when I gripped something and applied pressure on the bite area .
Soon the little teeth were visible under the skin and sore to touch .
My wife gently ( she says) dug them out with a sharp needle ( to break the skin and tease the teeth out ) and a little pair of tweezers to pull them out.
This 'procedure' took about 10 minutes and hurt more than the actual bite !
The wife pulled out about 10 tiny teeth !
Then covered the area with antiseptic cream ( sudacreme ) had left it .

Whiskey.....fire.....BIG sharp knife......bumps gone!!
But honestly push on them and see if it hurts or you feel something hard in there. Might be a tooth. I got tagged on the arm by my 6.5 foot boa and other than leaving holes in my arm and bleeding like the freakin Nile river, it healed up fine. I didnt yank when she bit as well.....i was in too much shock as she hasnt so much as hissed in the past 5+ years i've had her since she was a little worm.

My guess is teeth also. Like Sauzo said, feel around and press down on the bumps gently. If you feel anything pointy-ish or hard then you've probably found teeth. Fortunately, the times I've been tagged I was able to just keep still and take the bite. Unfotunately, human nature tells your body to pull away, which actually makes the injury worse for the snake and the keeper. Anyway, my guess is teeth, and from what I've read they will often work themselves out.

Re: My snake bit me and now I have weird bumps
Soaking in *hot* water with a little dish soap may help the teeth work out (and help prevent infection). Teeth can be really fine, they may be hard to see.
The one time I got a tooth in a bite it was an upper. Upper teeth may be longer/more curved, so more likely to lodge.

Re: My snake bit me and now I have weird bumps
Oh dagnabbit, well I just poked them and they don't hurt
but it is very likely that teeth could be in me because when she bit me I wasn't expecting it at ALL and i flung her off of me (natural reaction wasn't trying to hurt her) and she went flying off into her cage but she has been eating fine since so I don't think she has a problem with her teeth but wow thats terrifying to think about her teeth in my skin :/ the bumps seem a little better now but she is a small snake rn so if there was teeth I could never find them so I am just gunna wait and hope that I don't have to chop off my finger
thanks for the help yall!
