Largest Meal
Im just wondering for future research, but whats the largest meal a male BCI would need. Would you need to get into bunnies with them.

Re: Largest Meal
Our "biggest of the big" (8-yrs-plus) male boas do just fine on large or jumbo rats...even then, most of them get medium-large rats. You could use little bunnies instead, but comparitively speaking, rats are more cost effective.
HTH!!!

Re: Largest Meal
I'm getting bunnies because the rats around here, even at shows(the frozen ones) are expensive as all get out. I just had to go to a feed store, and knowing us Texans, there are a couple people around here that breed meat rabbits. Hopefully it will be much cheaper for me.
Hey Kara, do you know about how much a small rabbit weighs compared to the size of a large rat?

Re: Largest Meal
Large rats should be fine. My friend feeds her 9-foot BCI on large rats, and it is a nice, filling prey item for her. (the snake, not my friend, lol.)
