The waiting game... how long ...
Here I sit in agony... watching the weather forecast like I am a meteorologist in training. Checking NY and Memphis to see when my boy will arrive. I know a few of you had also mentioned you are also in waiting mode or paying mode, etc... it got me to thinking it may be a fun thread to hear others waiting stories.
I’d love to hear how long you waited, or maybe procrastinated your purchases.
Did you buy something and the weather was so so bad it took months to come? Did you set up a Payment plan and it just took time to get it all paid off? Did you drive a long distance for something you had to have.
Maybe you simply didnt feel ready and researched for months even years.
To support my agony I want to hear your agonizing waiting stories!
i know we aren’t alone here !! Haha

I paid in full for 2 subadult females het pied combos back in December and still waiting for the weather to allow for safe passage across the country.

Lucky for me I am in the south and usually get my animals during the spring or fall so I have never waited.
But I have had customers waiting as long as 3 months due to weather delays.

Longest gap for me was ordering on 12/30 and receiving 3/11. Seems like the weather will never cooperate when your waiting.

Re: The waiting game... how long ...
I found my ball python on a breeder's website in March of last year. He was about one month old at that time. I contacted the breeder and we agreed that I would reserve him until I was able to receive him.
I had a lot of exams at that time and I also had to work in order to save up enough money for him. After 4 months of (almost) daily work and about 10 exams, I had everything ready for his arrival. We agreed on the 6th of July as the shipping date.
It felt like years until that day arrived. I was looking at his pictures almost everyday.
I asked the breeder to ship with a specific service. They only ship one animal per car and they make sure to meet the animal's need during the transport. Once you give them the animal, it'll be shipped immediately. They only ship during the night, so the that the animals arrive at about 8 o'clock in the morning.
So on the the 6th of July at 8 o'clock in the morning, he finally arrived. The picture is the first one I took (after I put him in his quarantine box).

Re: The waiting game... how long ...
I found my Super Lesser Bel girl by chance when inquiring about the parentage of another one that was listed and had turned out to be a Lesser/Mojave. My girl was originally going to be a holdback but when i explained what i was looking for, he sent me pictures and offered her for sale to me. Paid for her and now waiting for the weather to cooperate between NJ and Ohio. This is her.
