In my 20 gallon enclosure I have a 100 watt CHE over the hot side to keep the ambient heat on that side up, as well as a UTH. Thermostat reads snake's hot spot at 90 degrees with or without the CHE. The problem is, the cool side of the tank is dipping too low, about 70 degrees. Would it be better to put the CHE on that side, and leave the UTH hot spot where it is, which would lower the ambient temps on the hot side? I don't want to introduce another CHE unless absolutely necessary because I'm having humidity problems even with consistent spraying, water dish on hot side, and moss. Snake spends time on both sides of the tank. Let me know what you think!
