I need help with a stuck shed

So, my ball python began shedding around Thursday last week. I waited the day, then checked on her, with the intent of cleaning out the enclosure. Inside her hide I found several pieces of skin. She has always had clean sheds. This is the first time she's shed in pieces.
I've had the humdity up to around 70%, though it does go higher. I've been doing that since I saw her milky eyes and washed out coloring. And I've been checking every hour.
She still had a piece on her, from her mid-head to the base of her neck. So I dampened a piece of paper and gently let her run through it, and carefully massaged it. It seemed to loosen the skin, so I returned her to her enclosure. The next morning I checked, and she was still shedding. So I repeated the previous process.
She's still shedding TODAY. I didn't want to give her a bath, since there's a whole different range of opinions on the temperature of the water, and because I knew it would stress her out. I did it today, and while it loosened her skin further, it still didn't come off, even when I was drying her off.
I'm not using the pillowcase method. I have no access to sphagnum moss, which I would have used in a hide if I did (the pet store doesn't carry it). I've read that you can't actually help take the skin off, because it hurts them more, though I've also read that people [on here] do it.
Any suggestions?

I don’t really have any advice if you aren’t willing to do pillowcase method or get a damp towel and have her slither through it. Maybe get some shed ease? I would definitely look into getting some moss online as it really helped me with my humidity (and it can be really nice looking imo)

It certainly helps to spray the viv a few times a day as soon as eyes clear up and the colour returns to normal.

At this stage I'd get him over the bath and get a soaking wet , rough textured bath towel and let him slither through the towel for 5 to 10 minutes ... every time his head pops out cover him again and he'll continue to slither around inside the towel . When he passes through your fingers apply very gentle pressure and any stubborn skin will normally come off easily enough on the towel ..

I would make a humidity box, leave it in there for about 30 minutes while you watch. All you have to do is get a tub, poke some holes in it for ventilation and put a sopping wet towel down.

I found that adding something rough to the tank really helped Lucy when she had a stuck shed. I put a half log between her hides and kept the humidity up, and the shed was gone within the week.

We did try a few things -soak, pillowcase, gentle rubbing with a wet towel- and that may have helped, but in the end she pretty much took care of it on her own.

Of course, I am still a newbie myself so others may have better advice.

Soak your snake in water that comes about half way up the thickest part of its body, water temp should be around the low 80’s. Let the snake soak for about 30 minutes. Take a damp washcloth and let the snake slide through while applying gentle pressure. You shouldn’t have to do it more then 2 or so times. Something was off on your husbandry, not a fan of the pillow case method myself. Good luck.
