Hey everyone, brief update on Peanut but put basicly, she's doing great! But I've unconsciously disconnected myself from her ( this has nothing to do with care, she gets everything she needs, but I've disconnected mentally ). My other ball python caught the RI before I knew Peanut had it and I feel so many mixed feelings when I look at her. The most dominating feeling I feel when I care for her is guilt. Guilt for feeling a hint of contempt for her but I know so well that it was my fault that my other BP has caught it but for some reason I keep going over "Peanut has the infection so she is to blame" and that's so wrong and I know it. I'm just being selfish because my other ball python is my girl, she's been here all along and I didn't protect her and that makes me not want to face the truth: that I caused this. Don't worry, she has already got antibiotics and starting to get better alongside Peanut's health. Just the mere fact that they are getting better will mend my disconnection with Peanut and I'm already feeling better about it. Aside from mental issues, she's in shed and I've upped the humidity levels and I'm hoping this is a good shed, I've heard sick snakes can go through hard sheds because of inactivity. I hope this post wasn't TOO dark lol
